My name is Cindy Ramirez and I am currently a graphic design student in Cal State Fullerton.
As a child, I have always been fascinated by
the combination of short stories and illustrations/designs. Throughout high school,
I would draw simple illustrations with typography and comics. I plan to pursue a career in the same direction. My
aspirations are designing children’s book, greeting cards, and posters. In the previous works I’ve done, I have been able
to make my six-year-old nephew to smile and laugh. I wish to do the same for a
larger audience.
However,
after taking a painting class, I have also developed a passion for traditional
art and began practicing more on canvas and leather bags. Many of my artworks
consist of altering realism with dream-like characters and fantasies. I combine
my subjects with typography as a way to express my emotions and thoughts.
In
2018, I created an alias for my art under Bitch, I Am Art. The name, Bitch, I
Am Art, began as painting that was influenced through low self-esteem and insecurities.
I wanted to overcome it and channel my confidence through my art. For the last
2 years, I have had the opportunity to participate in several art shows where I
was able to display my art and vend my art merchandise. From Los Angeles to Las
Vegas, I am grateful to be part of an artist community and build an online platform
for myself.
